Within this page you can display as many news articles as you want (depending on a setting within gigall administration page) that you have posted to www.gigall.co.uk. Since the Urban Cowboys is a fictitious band this page is showing the news articles of Kindred Spirit, a band that is currently a Full Member of gigall.
Also the Band News articles will be improved so you can add a picture to each article.

Subject: Kindred Spirit Logo
We have designed a logo for Kindred spirit, which you will see around from now; on the new album, on web sites and we hope to have it available on T-shirts fairly soon for you to purchase on line. The woven pentangle represents the five members of the band, the "Kindred" inside the circle, representing the earthly plane. The blue flames, emanating from and entwined with the pentangle and breaking through the earthly plane represent the "Spirit". If you look closely you can also see that the flames make a "K" and an "S".

Gigs going strong in 2009
Despite the economic downturn, apart from February, where we still have some dates we could take, the year is filling up rapidly, which is great news! It seems that there are probably two reasons why gigs have not dried up even though 5 pubs a day are now closing in the UK. Judging from the healthy number of people we managed to attract to our recent “pay on the door” concert, on January 16th at the Swan, in Arborfield, people will still go out for entertainment if it is of good quality and reasonably priced. (We charged £5 on the door). It could also be that pubs are realising they have to offer something more than just a place to drink, to get people to come out rather than stay at home, whether it is by providing good food or forms of entertainment. Live music is one of the few things people cannot get if they stay at home and so, given the right venue, it could be a really vital means to bring in customers.
Amongst the bookings this year, we have a number of spring concerts and interesting summer outdoor events (see the News and Gigs page on our main web site for more information) and we are very excited about playing at Weyfest in September on the same day as Jethro Tull! There look to be some other top bands booked too, like Osibisa, John Otway and Wild Willy Barrett, the Ric Sander’s band and Mungo Jerry.
Recording News
We have now recorded all twelve tracks for our new album "Metamorphosis" as a live band (at Airplay Studios):-
Metamorphosis, Before Midnight, Bourree, I’ll Always Love You, Lady Eleanor, Siren Song, All Fall Down, Dragonfire, Forgiven Not Forgotten, The Hunger and The Chain.
We put Annie and Gavin in one room and Mike, Alan and Elaine in the other – so that with Mike and Gavin DI’d we could record every instrument together live. This can be stressful at times!
Elaine has had to make her live tracks, guide ones (because of drum sound bleed) and comes back to record her master guitar and vocals at a later session. We still have some of Elaine’s vocals and guitar, backing vocals, a few instruments, mixing and mastering to go.
As we complete tracks we will be putting clips on our “News Page”. Both Annie and Gavin have recorded some fantastic live solos for this album and because we have been recording in a live setting the overall feel is a really exciting one!
