| Philanthropy are set to make 2006 a successful year. Having started with a headline appearance at The Garage in Islington, London on 7th January they are now building up to an appearance at The Forum, Kentish town, where on 21st April they will appear on a bill headlined by Caroline Alexander.
One of their loyal fans described them as “Up and coming band from the Ash Vale area with a wide variety of musical influences, ranging from JJ72, through Placebo and on to Radiohead. Their live show includes an almighty cover of The Venga Boys' "Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!".
The band consists of Olli Daffarn on synthesizer and guitar, Dan Hertogs on drums, Tim Huzar on vocals and guitar, James Mcintosh on guitar and rhymes and Graham Pether on bass.
