Its a shame but recently these pages have been used to advertise porn and prescription drugs. So don't go to the trouble of leaving your sick messages here, because they will never been seen. From now on all messages will be screened and will not go live until approved. |

2.Subject : Good Band Guide Well...yes it is a conscious decision not to show web addresses. If a venue wants to hear a band I want them to go to gigall and hear the bands music. All a venue needs to do is go to the gigall home page and type in the Band ID into a new box which is now provided. Once at your gigall page they can then find and click on your own web link. 3.Subject : Good Band Guide Like the mock-up very much; well done Jim. One thing missing though is any web-address for the bands on their entries. Is that a conscious decision? Posted by: Jerome | E-mail: Withheld | Date: 03/27/2008 |

6.Subject : Good Band Guide Just to let you all know what is happening. I am waiting on a few quotes on the printing costs. It seems the most expensive part of this venture will be the layout and graphics. I have also got the interest of six independent breweries who are willing to advertise within the guide. These breweries are well aware that venues need to attract new customers and since they are directly affected by this new legislation they are supporting my idea. More info as I get it. 8.Subject : Good Band Guide Hi All, In response to Adrian's message mostly, I realise that many pubs are closing and really struggling right now. That is why I feel that we need to encourage them with trying to promote our live music on the web, which strangely pubs generally do not seem to be doing. I agree with Jim, struggling pubs need live music as that "something people can't get at home" to try and get them to come out. It's just frustrating trying to reach the public and let them know what's on. Regarding pubs being poor venues, they can be but it isn't easy to get the more quality concert venues and festivals - is it? The pubs definitely keep Kindred Spirit going - so I'm personally trying to help those who book us by promoting them on the web with a comprehensive "Live Music Pub Guide" and by listing our gigs on sites such as this. Cheers for now, Elaine from Kindred Spirit Posted by: Elaine Samuels | E-mail: Withheld | Date: 01/28/2008 |
