Introduction

It began with four guys from different bands who became impressed with each others drinking stamina, anecdotes and ability to be able to combine these with their musical abilities - who decided to form a band... And a blues band at that... In 2008 'The Good Burghers' were formed in an underground smokey studio combined with much wine and beer. Having all studied music and with a desire and excitement to improvise live, the band grew from strength to strength until one night, they put down their ales at a packed gig and said - 'Hey, we should really take this more seriously...' before picking them back up and going on for a few more. They now gig regularly, write and record (although the beer and band anecdotes never have stopped flowing.)
With impressive reviews, feedback, stories and a growing fan base 'The GB's' have become - "One of the new talents on Wale's blues scene" - ('Blues matters magazine UK -09.)
