About Blues Central
Since their debut at the 2001 Bishopstock International Blues Festival, Blues Central, fronted by Pete Hughes, are a regular feature of the UK club and festival scene including the Maryport and Burnley Blues Festivals, plus a string of appearances at “The Jazz Café” venue, in the heart of Cardiff plus the Salisbury Blues Club in Swansea and Torfaen Jazz and Blues among others. Peter, formerly guitarist and vocalist with the 1970’s UK cult band, “Good Habit” (RCA Records), and acclaimed studio and touring session player says the band’s distinctive style is heavily “Chicago” influenced with just a touch of Freddie King in there somewhere! Lately, the band has expanded to include Soul and Funk plus original material. |
